Biography
Harikrishna Tumma has done his PhD from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India and MSc from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He brings over 25 years of rich experience in Pharmaceutical industries in the area of process design & development for the new chemical entities and generic APIs. He worked with AstraZeneca, India over 18 years as a management role in the pharmaceutical development and prior to this he worked with Lupin India Ltd for about 7 years. He is specialized in developing the novel, commercially feasible synthetic routes for new chemical entities and non-infringing routes for generic APIs. He is well versed with good laboratory practices including route design, process design & process understanding through statistical approach (design of experiments), process safety, behavioural SHE, scale-up through the process engineering, modern analytical techniques for chemical reaction progress, etc., He has published 18 articles within AstraZeneca Global Process R&D, 4 papers in the international journals and inventor for 6 patents. At present Dr.Hari is working as Executive Director–Process Chemistry & Manufacturing at Pharmaron Beijing Ltd Co., China and managing scientific staff of ca 40-50 including PhD, MSc, BS and engineers.
